Carer recruitment
Carers are professionals. We intend to act like it.
We are building a small team of experienced live-in carers across South West London and Surrey — people who take the work seriously and want an employer who does the same.
What you can expect from us
Seven things we are committing to
Pay that reflects the responsibility
Discussed openly at first contact, with the rate for a placement agreed before you accept it. No surprises in week two.
Your breaks are covered
Two hours a day and time off each week, arranged by us. Not something you are quietly expected to skip.
An honest picture of the placement
Including the difficult parts. You should never arrive at a house and find it is not what you were told.
Someone who answers out of hours
A named contact who picks up. Being alone in someone's house at 3am with no one to call is not acceptable.
Training that is actually useful
Induction and refreshers in safeguarding, moving and handling, medication, infection control and dementia support.
Consistency, where you want it
Returning to the same household builds the relationship that makes this work rewarding. We plan rotations around that.
Records that do not fight you
We are building proper care records with daily logs you can write on a phone as the day happens, rather than a pile of paperwork at the end of it.

A note about live-in work
Live-in care is not domiciliary care with longer hours. It is a different job, and people who are excellent at one are not automatically suited to the other.
It asks you to fit into someone’s household rather than import a routine into it, to do less than your instincts tell you so that independence is preserved, and to be as patient on day nine as you were on day one.
It also asks you to look after yourself — to take your breaks, get out of the house, and stay in contact with your own life. Carers who do not burn out, usually faster than anyone expects. We would rather build a team that lasts.

Tell us about yourself
A short form is enough to start. We read every application ourselves, and if we think you would be a good fit we will ring you for a proper conversation.
